lowerovlove is back with a brand-new single, “In My Victoria’s Secret,” a playful yet emotionally vulnerable pop anthem that captures the aftermath of a disappointing romance.
The new track finds the 21-year-old singer caught between her head and her heart as she grapples with someone she knows she can’t trust. Built around buoyant production and cheerleader-inspired backing vocals, “In My Victoria’s Secret” pairs infectious pop melodies with lyrics about feeling unwanted after a hookup. The song was co-written by flowerovlove alongside Ryan Raines and Steph Jones, with Raines also handling production.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, flowerovlove revealed that the idea came after visiting Victoria’s Secret for the first time.
“I went into Victoria’s Secret for the first time and got myself a little dress,” she explained. “It’s a song about crying in your underwear after a hook-up when you feel unwanted by someone and you have the cutest Victoria’s Secret on.”
The accompanying music video leans into the song’s humor, with flowerovlove hosting a funeral for her self-esteem. Directed by the singer herself and produced by Raquel Michel, the tongue-in-cheek visual embraces heartbreak with a theatrical twist while maintaining the artist’s signature sense of style.
The release follows her recent single “American Wedding,” which earned recognition on Rolling Stone’s Songs You Need to Know playlist. As her profile continues to grow, flowerovlove has become one of pop’s most exciting emerging voices, balancing infectious music with an unmistakable fashion identity.
Away from the studio, she’s also making a name for herself in the fashion world. The singer has attended major Fashion Week shows across Paris, London, and New York while collaborating with luxury brands including Louis Vuitton. She also partnered with Etsy for a holiday gift collection inspired by her festive single “wishlist.”
Fans will have plenty of opportunities to catch flowerovlove live later this year. After appearing at festivals including Coachella, Governors Ball, OUTLOUD, and Benicàssim Festival, she’ll join Niall Horan as the supporting act for the UK and European leg of his Dinner Party Live On Tour. The arena run begins on September 22 in Birmingham before making stops across the UK, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Poland, Belgium, France, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.”
