Just weeks into her highly anticipated Eternal Sunshine Tour, Ariana Grande has announced that three upcoming arena shows have been rescheduled due to production issues.
The singer shared the news with fans via her Instagram Story, apologizing for the unexpected changes while explaining that the decision was made to ensure both the safety of everyone involved and the quality of the production.
“We are so sorry for these unfortunate scheduling changes,” Grande wrote. “This was our best and safest option as these challenges with production have come to our attention.”
She continued, “The utmost important thing to us all is safety, first and foremost, and also making sure you all see the show how it is intended to run. Thank you so much for your understanding and I cannot wait to see you.”
The affected dates include Grande’s July 12 performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, which has been moved to July 14. In Boston, her July 22 show at TD Garden will now take place on July 23, while the July 24 concert has been rescheduled for July 26. Fans who already purchased tickets will be able to use them for the new dates, and ticket holders are expected to receive additional information directly from their ticket providers.
The Eternal Sunshine Tour marks Grande’s first headlining tour since 2019 and her long-awaited return to the stage after focusing on film projects, including Wicked and the upcoming Wicked: For Good. The tour launched in Oakland, California, on June 6 and has been met with overwhelming demand, with every date selling out shortly after tickets went on sale.
Following opening night, Grande reflected on the emotional experience of performing for fans again after several years away.
“Oakland, night one… It feels impossible to find the words at this time… so for now, just thank you. From the bottom of my heart,” she wrote on Instagram, later adding, “I love you all more than words can ever possibly say. And I missed you. Thank you.”
The show’s setlist features 11 songs from Eternal Sunshine alongside fan favorites from across her catalog, including tracks from Positions, Thank U, Next, Sweetener, and Dangerous Woman, celebrating every era of her career.
While the postponements may be disappointing for fans planning to attend the affected shows, Grande emphasized that taking the extra time to address the production challenges will ensure audiences experience the concert exactly as it was intended. As of now, the remainder of the Eternal Sunshine Tour is expected to proceed as scheduled.
