Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter says thank you thank you thank you as she earns her first number one record with “Please Please Please.”

Please Please Please” skyrocketed to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The singer used the achievement to call out an internet troll who claimed she “fumbled” with the release.

Carpenter shared just how elated she was with the chart-topping success by posting a celebratory Instagram post. “MY FIRST #1 on the @billboard HOT 100!!!!!!! And espresso at #4,” she wrote, alongside a photo of her two singles in Billboard’s top 10. “I’m very immensely grateful so i will surely always remember this day for the rest of my life!”

The final slide of the carousel was a screengrab of a tweet reading “I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone fumble a second single this hard.”

The success of “”Please Please Please” follows that of “Espresso” which is currently sitting at No.4 on the Hot 100. Her record Short n’ Sweet is set to release on August 23 and will surely be one of the talking points of the summer.

Sabrina also just announced an arena tour to accompany the album release with tickets going on sale this Friday at 10 AM EST.
