Ariana Grande might’ve given us the first glimpse at her eight studio album.
The singer shared a series of photos from inside the recording booth on Instagram. The post arrives as speculation continues to build around her eighth studio album.
In several of the captionless images, Grande is seen recording vocals into a microphone, fully immersed in the process. Other shots show her seated at a computer, producing and editing audio files. One image stands out from the rest, featuring what appears to be a dark greenish gray print of pressed flowers, possibly teasing the visual direction of her next era.
Fans and fellow artists quickly flooded the comments with excitement. Lizzo was among the first to react, writing “Yes, please!” while fans echoed the same energy with messages like “ITS HAPPENING” and “AG8 IS COMING.”
Grande has not released a full-length album since 2024’s Eternal Sunshine, which spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. She later expanded the project with a deluxe edition that introduced several new tracks.
Still, many fans believed the pop star would step away from music for a while to focus on her acting career. The Victorious alum had suggested as much in interviews over the past year, especially as she continued work tied to the film adaptation of Wicked.
Earlier this month, however, fans picked up on a subtle shift. Grande updated the outgoing message on her Brighter Days hotline, hinting that new music may be closer than expected.
“Our staff here at Brighter Days are so looking forward to continuing our mission of bringing happiness and healing to as many as we can this summer in person,” she says in the recording, referencing her upcoming tour kicking off in June. “We’re counting down the 8s oops I mean the days.”
