Following the major success of “Espresso,” Sabrina Carpenter just released her new single titled “Please Please Please.” The second Short n’ Sweet single was produced by frequent Taylor Swift collaborator Jack Antonoff and co-written with Amy Allen.
“Please Please Please” follows Sabrina begging her lover to shape up and not embarrass her. ” Please, please, please don’t prove I’m right. Please, please please don’t bring me to tears when I just did my makeup so nice,” she sings in the hook.
Earlier this week, the pop singer announced that her sixth album “Short n’ Sweet” will arrive on August 23. “This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too,” she wrote on social media with the announcement.
The announcement video, which was shared on the singer’s Instagram, played a snippet from the new track as Sabrina left her lipstick mark on the camera lens.
So far, “Espresso” has been her breakout moment following back-to-back standout performances at Coachella a few months back cementing it as a candidate for Song of the Summer. “Espresso” caught on quickly, debuting at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. In the time since, it’s held onto the top 10, peaking at No. 4.
