Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have officially entered a new era together, announcing their marriage in spectacular fashion after a secret wedding at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
Rather than revealing the news through social media, the couple surprised the world with glowing purple billboards outside the iconic venue reading “JUST&T MARRIED.” Nearby, the Empire State Building was illuminated in blue, creating a cinematic backdrop for one of the year’s biggest celebrity moments.
The wedding came after months of intense speculation and was kept almost entirely under wraps. Guests reportedly signed strict non-disclosure agreements, while security at the venue was compared to airport-level screening. A rehearsal gathering was held the night before for approximately 100 guests, with invitees remaining tight-lipped about the celebration.
The guest list reflected the couple’s influence across music, sports, film and television. Among those spotted arriving were Ed Sheeran, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Mariska Hargitay, Steven Spielberg, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Lopez, Jimmy Fallon, Graham Norton, Jessica Alba, Chris Rock and many more. The music world was also well represented with appearances from Gwen Stefani, Fergie, Camila Cabello, Benson Boone, Miranda Lambert and The Chainsmokers.
Swift’s brother Austin served as her “man of honor,” while Kelce’s brother Jason stood beside him as best man. The couple exchanged vows in custom Christian Dior designs created by Jonathan Anderson.
Adding another unexpected twist to the evening, actor Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony.
“The ceremony was great, moving,” George Stephanopoulos of GMA said following the wedding. “Funny and touching. Vows, everything you would hope for. Real, vulnerable, serious and silly, deeply loving.”
Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts described the celebration as surprisingly intimate despite its massive scale.
“It was like any wedding that you would attend,” Roberts said. “They had their neighbors, their high school friends.”
The couple reportedly wrote their own vows, reading them from personalized books during the ceremony.
Stevie Nicks provided one of the evening’s musical highlights with a special performance for guests.
While photos from inside the ceremony remain scarce, one image shared by guests Rob and Joann Jordan offered a small glimpse of the venue’s elaborate transformation. Guests reportedly surrendered their phones upon arrival, helping maintain the privacy of the event.
According to attendees, Madison Square Garden was transformed into what was described as “a garden inside the Garden.” In the days leading up to the wedding, crews were seen bringing in towering trees, lush greenery, flowers and elaborate staircases to convert the arena into an elegant wedding venue.
