Harry Styles Thanks New Yorkers in Newspaper ad ‘It Has Been An Honor’

Harry Styles is giving New York City a lasting memento of his time in the Big Apple.

The pop star is commemorating his 30-night Together, Together residency at Madison Square Garden with a special print edition of The Village Voice, featuring a personal letter from Styles reflecting on his time in the city.

Published Monday (Nov. 2), the special issue arrives just days after Styles wrapped his historic run of shows on Oct. 31. In his letter to readers, the Grammy winner expressed his gratitude to New Yorkers for welcoming him and allowing his performances to become part of the city’s cultural history.

“It has been an honor to live and work in your city for the past three months,” Styles wrote.

He went on to reflect on the experience, highlighting the energy of the audiences, the dancing and the sense of community that surrounded the residency.

“I had so much fun with this show, which I think was pretty obvious to anyone who came,” he shared. “The energy of the audiences, the openness, the dancing, the sheer joy, will never leave me; it altered me.”

Styles also acknowledged the significance of The Village Voice as a longtime chronicler of New York City’s cultural scene, calling the collaboration a privilege and an opportunity to share a piece of the story behind his 30 nights at MSG.

“Until next time, take care of each other, New York,” he added.

The commemorative edition goes beyond Styles’ personal reflection, featuring concert photography and stories highlighting the artists who joined him throughout the residency, including Tinashe, Jamie xx, Caroline Polachek and Lainey Wilson. The issue also recognizes the musicians, crew members and charitable organizations involved in the run, including Planned Parenthood, Food Bank For NYC, HeadCount and Choose Love.

The issue even features a contribution from former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who made a case for Styles to trade the concert stage for Broadway.

“Here’s what I thought while watching Harry Styles at MSG: That man should be on Broadway,” Wintour wrote, suggesting the singer take on a starring role in Singin’ in the Rain. She added that it was a part he was “born to play.”

Styles first launched the Together, Together residency in New York in late August, following international stops in Amsterdam, London, São Paulo and Mexico City. The run supported his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, which debuted atop the Billboard 200.

Following the New York finale, Styles will take a short break before returning to the stage in late November for a series of performances in Australia. The residency will continue next year with additional dates across North America and Europe.
