Carly Rae Jepsen announced a double album titles Day and Night with the first single coming this Friday.
The newly married singer has announced her highly anticipated new album coming in September. The ambitious 24-track project serves as Jepsen’s most expansive and cohesive artistic statement yet, split into two distinct halves: 12 songs for day and 12 songs for night.
Fans won’t have to wait long for their first taste of the record. The album’s lead single, “On Wires,” will be released on June 26, offering a glimpse into the sonic world Jepsen has crafted for her latest chapter.

According to Jepsen, Day and Night explores a dreamlike state where time feels fluid and boundaries blur. Nights stretch into mornings, days dissolve into evenings, and emotions intertwine across a collection that embraces both light and darkness. To bring the concept to life, she reunited with longtime collaborators and friends Tavish Crowe, Kyle Shearer, Nate Cyphert, and Cole M.G.N.
The album is divided into two contrasting sonic experiences. Day leans into organic instrumentation and raw production, drawing inspiration from 1970s psychedelic pop, while Night embraces a sleek, synth-driven dance-pop sound. Together, the two halves explore the full spectrum of human emotion, from joy and romance to anxiety, fear, and escapist fantasy.
The announcement marks Jepsen’s first full-length release since 2022’s The Loneliest Time and continues a remarkable career that has spanned more than a decade. Since breaking through globally with 2012’s “Call Me Maybe,” Jepsen has built a devoted fanbase and earned critical acclaim for consistently pushing the boundaries of modern pop music.
Her 2015 album E•MO•TION remains a fan favorite and has since been recognized as one of the defining pop albums of the 2010s.
To celebrate the release of Day and Night, Jepsen will make her return to the stage with a headline performance at the All Things Go Festival in New York City on September 27, marking her first live performance of 2026.
