Ahead of Euphoria Season 3, Labrinth – the music artist responsible for the HBO show’s iconic soundtrack – has lashed out at the series and his label, saying that he’s “done” with the industry.
Labrinth took to Instagram to share a cryptic post that reads, “I’m done with this industry. F**k Columbia. Double f**k Euphoria. I’m out. Thank you and good night.”

Across the show’s first two seasons, he composed and produced the original score and songs, blending gospel, electronic, and hip-hop to create a sound that became inseparable from the show’s identity.
While he had full creative control in those first two seasons, last July, it was announced that none other than Hans Zimmer had joined to score Euphoria Season 3, collaborating with Labrinth on the show’s music.
It’s currently unclear why he feels this way or what happened behind the scenes to spark this reaction, which targets both the Sam Levinson series and his record label. Labrinth is yet to further elaborate on the comments, and the same goes for Columbia and HBO.
Whatever is the cause, fans have his back, so much so that some are threatening to boycott Euphoria Season 3 if he’s not involved.
“Labrinth MADE Euphoria what it is,” wrote one on Reddit. “If he isn’t included in producing the new soundtrack, I really don’t have any desire to watch any of the episodes.”
There are also plenty of fans speculating what might have happened to cause Labrinth to lash out, noting that Season 3 is dropping next month, meaning the dispute could be related to wages or credits.
“He was working actively on it,” said one. “Season 3 comes out in less than a month. I guess they must have not wanted to pay him what they agreed or something along those lines.”
Another theorized, “I’m thinking either a personal fall out, maybe they used something of his they shouldn’t have, and/or he found out Columbia has been messing with his money.”
Whatever the case, we’ll be sure to keep you posted as and when new details arise.
