Enigmatic pop visionary Ryn Weaver has officially returned. Today marks the release of “Odin St,” her first new single in ten years — and it arrives exactly a decade after her acclaimed debut album The Fool dropped on the same date in 2015.
Produced by Benjamin Greenspan and Constantine Anastasakis (a.k.a. Blonder), “Odin St” signals a new era for Weaver while reflecting deeply on the past. Named after the Hollywood Hills street she moved to after her breakout success, the track explores a period of chaotic self-discovery, blending lush alternative pop textures with introspective storytelling. Fittingly, the street shares its name with Odin, the Norse god of wisdom, a subtle nod to the personal growth that defines the song’s core.
“It was the house down the road from wisdom,” Weaver shared. “It felt special for the 10-year anniversary of The Fool, because that album can be played on a loop as repeating the cycle and running away… and I did run away to my house on Odin St. Chronologically it’s exactly where I left off.”
Fans will recognize her signature theatrical lyricism and soaring choruses, but with a darker, wiser tone shaped by time. The single is a fitting follow-up to the celestial pop of The Fool, which earned praise from The New York Times and The Fader, and included the gold-certified hit “OctaHate.”
