Sabrina Carpenter shared a teaser of her upcoming music video “Taste,” which features Jenna Ortega.
The 16-second clip was shared on the singer’s Instagram story revealing the music video will be released on Friday, the same day as her Short n’ Sweet album.
In the preview, below. Sabrina is seen grabbing a kitchen knife from a bed of weapons. Carpenter then enters a home with a knife in hand and goes upstairs, where she sees Ortega in the shower with a man. Carpenter opens the shower curtain and charges at Ortega as fear takes over her eyes.
The clip ends with the first snippet of the track with the lyrics “I leave quite an impression.” In a recent interview with Paper magazine, Sabrina also shared lyrics from the tracks “I’ve been known to share” and “You’ll just have to taste me when he’s kissing you.”
Carpenter told the magazine about her songwriting process and writing about taboo topics, “I will write any song. It doesn’t mean I’ll put it out, but I’ll write it. I think the series of unfortunate events I’ve encountered in relationships are no secret to people who know me or think they know me.”
“Taste” is the third single of Carpenter’s sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet, which is scheduled to release on August 23. Pre-order here!
