Country singer Megan Moroney has revealed she hooked up with Morgan Wallen.
The up-and-coming country music star shared her secrets on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.
Moroney, who has just released her second album, Am I Okay?, admitted on the podcast that there’s some truth to the reports that she used to date the A-lister.
“Did you date Morgan Wallen?” Cooper asked.
“Never exclusively,” Moroney shot back. “It was never a relationship,” and joked: “I have tried to avoid that in every single interview I’ve ever done. But we’re here now and time has passed and all is well.”
Moroney then clarified that the pair met in 2020, before Wallen’s Dangerous album came out, and while she was still at school.
“We have been friends for a long time; we were not just friends, and now we are friends,” she explained.
Wallen has cemented himself as one of the biggest current singing stars and not just in country music. His 2023 song Last Night was a number-one smash in the US. He also collaborated on Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help,” which has become the longest-running Billboard number-one song of 2024 so far.
Moroney did draw the line at revealing if her song Tennessee Orange is about Wallen. Wallen hails from Tennessee.
