Following rumors of a performance at the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony, Lady Gaga and Celine Dion were spotted together in Paris.
According to French journalist Thierry Moreau, Gaga and Dion sang Edith Piaf’s “La Vie En Rose” as a duet during an Olympic rehearsal, suggesting that the pair will sing it together at the opening ceremony on July 26.
Last week, The Olympics’ official Instagram page teased a performance from an unknown musician with the caption “You haven’t seen anything yet,” the video teases. “See you on 26 July.”
In the clip, a hooded figure tightens their metallic belt and wraps a large flag with the ancient sporting event’s logo on it around their shoulders as a cape. Many fans were quick to speculate it was Lady Gaga under the very Gaga-esque attire.
Earlier this week, the 13-time Grammy winner was spotted leaving a hotel in Paris. The singer stopped to blow kisses to her fans, dressed in a baseball cap and sunglasses.
All of this comes in the middle of teasing her upcoming seventh studio album. Fans hope the performance might be a sneak peak into the record that she has been teasing over the past several months.
If Dion does end up singing, it would be her first public performance since being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome. This comes after she made an appearance at the 2024 Grammys
