August Moon, the boy band from Amazon’s hit rom-com The Idea of You, has shared the full version of their “Guard Down” music video featured in the film. Like the movie, the music video is directed by Michael Showalter.
The track features vocals from film co-lead Nicholas Galitzine and, along with the soundtrack, was produced by legendary music producer Savan Kotecha known for his work with One Direction and Ariana Grande. Check out the video below:
Since its release on May 2nd, the film has reached over 50 million viewers, making it Amazon MGM’s Number 1 Romantic-Comedy Debut of All Time. The film has also claimed the Number 1 spot on Variety’s Originals Streaming Chart this week after being streamed for more than 714.2 million minutes in its first full week of data.
In the first week since the film’s release, its soundtrack, released by Arista Records, has been streamed over 13 million times across DSPs.
