Ariana Grande has thanked her fans for their “overwhelmingly loving response” to her new album Eternal Sunshine.
The Thank U, Next singer took to Instagram on Monday to thank her fans after it was announced that she has both the No. 1 single and No. 1 album in America.
Eternal Sunshine debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart, while “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)”, the record’s second single, came in first on the Billboard Hot 100.
“I know i have been posting so much (i feel self conscious about that / also would like to keep going / thanking / celebrating !) but i just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart (sic),” she wrote alongside a video celebrating her chart achievements.
With “We Can’t Be Friends”, Ariana earned her seventh No. 1 debut and her ninth chart-topping single overall, following on from the success of the album’s lead single Yes, And? in January. In addition, Eternal Sunshine is now her sixth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.
Concluding her post, the pop star wrote, “Just wanted to say i love and appreciate you all more than one can say and thank you again. it is, as it always has been, my greatest honor to grow with you… let us promise to keep going!”
This comes following the news that Grande has just finalized her divorce with ex Dalton Gomez. With the divorce official, the terms of their settlement from October officially go into effect. Per their agreement, the GRAMMY-winning singer will pay Gomez a one-time payment of $1,250,000 and turn over half the proceeds of their shared home in Los Angles. In addition, Grande will pay $25,000 of Gomez’s attorney’s fees
