Following a standout debut at Coachella on Saturday night, GRAMMY nominated breakout star SOMBR has officially announced his upcoming YOU ARE THE REASON TOUR, a massive 37 date North American arena run set for this fall.

The tour will kick off in Mexico City at the Pepsi Center and will see the 20 year old global phenom take the stage at some of the most iconic venues in the world. Among the highlights is a hometown performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 23. A diverse group of supporting acts will join select dates across the tour, including Interpol, The Last Dinner Party, Tom Odell, Dove Cameron, Balu Brigada, King Princess, The Hellp and Hannah Jadagu.

Fans will have early access to tickets beginning with the artist presale on Tuesday, April 14 at 10 AM local time. General ticket sales will open on Friday, April 17 at 10 AM local time via his official website.

The tour announcement arrives just days before the release of SOMBR’s highly anticipated new single “Potential,” which drops Thursday, April 16 alongside an official music video premiering at 3 PM PT and 6 PM ET. The track follows “Homewrecker,” which marked another major milestone for the rising star, becoming his fifth entry on the Billboard Global 200 and his fourth appearance on the Hot 100 while also delivering his biggest first week debut yet.

SOMBR’s Coachella performance further cemented his rapid rise. Drawing one of the largest crowds of the weekend, his set extended far beyond the main viewing area as thousands of fans packed into the desert to watch. Critics were quick to take notice, praising both his stage presence and ability to command a massive audience.

One of the most talked about moments of the night came when Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins joined SOMBR onstage for a surprise performance of the band’s classic hit “1979.” The collaboration was widely celebrated, signaling a passing of the torch moment between generations of alternative and rock artists. SOMBR is set to return to Coachella next weekend for another performance, with fans already anticipating additional surprises.

Since his 2025 breakthrough, SOMBR has quickly become one of the most dominant forces in global pop and alternative music. His hit single “Back to Friends” earned him his first Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 and remained on the chart for over a year, while also reaching number one on both Spotify’s Global and U.S. charts. The song also topped Alternative Radio for five consecutive weeks and later climbed to number one on U.S. Pop Radio more than a year after its initial release.

That momentum carried into his debut studio album I Barely Know Her, which featured standout tracks like “Undressed” and “12 to 12.” Both songs achieved Top 20 placements on the Billboard Global 200 and the Hot 100, further solidifying his staying power.

Born Shane Boose in New York City, SOMBR began creating music in a makeshift bedroom studio on the Lower East Side. As the sole songwriter and co producer of his catalog, he has crafted a sound that blends indie rock sensibilities with arena scale pop. His music captures the emotional intensity of young love with a raw and vulnerable edge that continues to resonate with a global audience.
