Hilary Duff announces new single ‘Mature’

Hilary Duff is officially making her long-awaited return to music!

Ten years after her last full-length project, the actress and singer announced her new single “Mature,” arriving November 6. A mysterious pink countdown that appeared on Duff’s website earlier this week led to the reveal, sparking a wave of excitement among fans who have been waiting for her next era.

Duff has released five albums throughout her career, from her 2002 debut Santa Claus Lane to 2015’s Breathe In. Breathe Out. Her early 2000s hits like “So Yesterday” and “Come Clean” became staples of the Y2K pop landscape and have since found new life on social media. catalog.

The new single doesn’t come as a total surprise to longtime fans. In an October interview with Variety, Duff hinted that fresh material was on the horizon, saying, “Fans are going to hear new material so soon, like in the blink of an eye.”

“I always knew I was going to return to music,” she told the magazine. “I needed to feel safe, and I needed to have the right people in my corner and be absolutely 100 percent ready. Honestly, I needed to have ten years of life under my belt. I needed a lot to say. This album feels like the inner workings of my brain, and I really am so excited to connect with people again on that level.”

Alongside the single, Duff is releasing a docuseries chronicling her return to the studio. Directed by Emmy winner Sam Wrench, who also helmed Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter—the series will follow Duff as she balances family life, recording sessions, and live show rehearsals while preparing to perform on stage for the first time in over a decade.

Born in Houston and raised between there and San Antonio, Duff first became a household name through her breakout Disney role as Lizzie McGuire and the 2003 film The Lizzie McGuire Movie. She’s since built a steady acting career, starring in films and the TV Land series Younger as well as Hulu’s How I Met Your Father. She even performed at the 2006 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo—her first major concert performance in her home state.

“So happy this is finally yours to hear. Been keeping this one quiet too long,” Duff wrote on Instagram, marking the official start of her next chapter.
