Louis Tomlinson releases new music video for ‘Lemonade’

Louis Tomlinson has officially kicked off a new era with the release of his latest single “Lemonade,” and the music video is as unexpected as it is entertaining.

The visual, released Monday (Oct. 13), begins with Tomlinson leaning against a car while a persistent photographer circles him. Things take a strange turn when he drifts off to sleep and wakes up inside a vivid dreamscape filled with people dressed head to toe in yellow suits. The bizarre scene continues as a sock puppet opens a lemonade stand and dances through a lemon farm before Tomlinson dives into a swimming pool.

“She’s so bitter, she’s so sweet/ Lemonade, lemonade,” he sings. “A little taste is all I need/ Lemonade, lemonade.”

“Lemonade” marks the first single from Tomlinson’s upcoming third studio album How Did I Get Here?, which arrives January 23, 2026. Alongside the release, the former One Direction member has announced a North American tour to promote the record. He will also appear with former bandmate Zayn Malik in an upcoming Netflix road trip docuseries.

Despite the excitement surrounding his new projects, How Did I Get Here? carries emotional weight for Tomlinson. It will be his first album since the passing of fellow One Direction member Liam Payne. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone UK, Tomlinson opened up about coping with the loss, describing it as “impossibly difficult.”

“There’s still a level in my head where it feels unjust and frustrating that he’s not with us anymore,” he said. “Naively, I thought that because at this point, I’m relatively well versed in grief for my age, that it might soften the blow. That was super naive. It’s very different. I’ve never lost a friend before.”
