Last night, Billie Eilish was a musical guest on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert for the second time during the Hit Me Hard and Soft cycle. After last month’s rendition of “Lunch,” this time she gave a powerhouse performance of the album’s sprawling centerpiece, “The Greatest,” joined by Finneas and her band.

In the coming months, Eilish and her band will head out on a tour of North America, Europe, and Australia. On last month’s Colbert, she discussed her childhood, the making of Hit Me Hard and Soft, and more.
Hit Me Hard and Soft was released last month and features a total of ten songs including “Chihiro” and “Lunch” both of which received music videos.
The video for “Chihiro” was also directed by the singer and co-stars Nat Wolff.
According to Eilish, the visual for “Chihiro” represents a dream-like narrative where the long, dark hallways and shutting of doors symbolize the different corners of the mind. Along with her co-star Nat Wolff, she tumbles into an inescapable connection.
The external expression of an internal push and pull, as our deepest feelings of fear, love, or desire inevitably catch up to us, no matter how hard we try to run away.
