Camila Cabello has officialy entered her C,XOXO era with new single “I Luv It.” The new track was released Wednesday with Playboi Carti along with a music video.
The former Fifth Harmony singer channels Charli XCX on her new track. The future pop sounding single is a new sound for Camila, but fans are loving it. The track, executive produced by El Guincho (Rosalia, Bjork) and co-produced by Jasper Harris (Baby Keem, Jack Harlow), features a prominent sample mined from Gucci Mane’s 2009 single “Lemonade.”
In a recent interview with Paper Magazine, Camila shared some insight on her new hit.
“Certain things in our human realm do make me feel like I’m in outer space, and the very rare few times where I’ve had incredible chemistry with someone is one of them,” she said. “Part of that cocktail is also the emotional drama between you and that person, and the chaos and butterflies and nerves and passion. It’s unsustainable and not peaceful and exhausting, but also, I LUV IT.”
C,XOXO will be the fourth LP by Camila Cabello following Familia released in 2022.
