Miley Cyrus Honors Hannah Montana at 20th Anniversary Special Premiere with Nostalgic Look

Miley Cyrus leaned all the way into nostalgia while still keeping things fashion-forward at the premiere of the Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special.

Held in Los Angeles on March 23, the event celebrated two decades since the Disney Channel hit first introduced fans to Miley Stewart and her pop star alter ego. For the occasion, Cyrus paid tribute in a way that felt personal rather than costume-like. She wore a custom Rabanne chainmail gown with a plunging neckline, layered over a white Hannah Montana T-shirt covered in glittery silver stars. It was a subtle but meaningful nod to the character that launched her career, blending her current style with a piece of her past.

She completed the look with loose waves and side bangs, echoing Hannah’s signature hairstyle without fully stepping back into character. Silver and gold crystal bracelets, stacked rings, and matching silver heels added just enough sparkle to match the moment.

Speaking at the premiere, Cyrus reflected on one of the most talked-about elements of the early seasons, the blonde wig. She joked that while it has become a point of discussion over the years, it held up pretty well considering what they were working with at the time. Looking back on filming the show, she shared that she would tell her younger self to enjoy the experience more, even though it came with a heavy workload. For Cyrus, the effort was ultimately worth it.

The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, which premiered March 24 on Disney+, offers a deeper look at the show’s legacy. It features an interview with Alex Cooper and includes never-before-seen archival footage along with behind-the-scenes moments that revisit the cultural impact of the series.

Cyrus was joined at the premiere by her inner circle, including fiancé Max Morando, her mom Tish Cyrus, Dominic Purcell, and her sister Brandi Cyrus.

The night also doubled as a reunion, with several familiar faces from the series in attendance. Cody Linley, Jason Earles, Moises Arias, Shanica Knowles, and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle all showed up, turning the premiere into a full-circle moment for both the cast and longtime fans.
