Teddy Swims shows his gratitude after toping the Billboard hot 100 chart with his breakout hit “Lose Control.”

In celebration, the 31-year-old singer-songwriter took to his Instagram Story to repost a celebratory post from one of the track’s songwriters, Julian Bunetta, tagging another one of the songwriters, John Sudduth. “My absolute world and my heroes and my mentors and my heart,” Swims wrote of the duo on his Stories. “I love you guys so much.”

Swims’ “Lose Control” chart milestone also makes history, as the song completes its ascent to the top of the Hot 100 in its 32nd week – marking the longest run to No. 1, by weeks on the chart, for a title by a solo male in the list’s 65-year history.

“I’m super grateful that person [that broke my heart],” Swims previously told Billboard of the soulful hit’s writing process. “I think it’s so great to know that that pain is necessary because […] you know, pain is paying the bills still. I’m trying to stop putting myself in positions to get hurt because you’ll always have to do that but they say the best revenge is success.”
